General Adviser/Trainee Advice Session Supervisor
We are looking for a General Adviser/Trainee Advice Session Supervisor
Hours: Between 20-30 hours per week
Salary: up to £25,000 per year FTE before deductions depending on experience
Contract type: Permanent
Location: Primarily office based at Citizens Advice Southampton and outreaches around the city.
Citizens Advice Southampton is a local charity providing free, independent, confidential and impartial advice to over 7,000 people in Southampton every year on any problems they might face.

The Role
Citizens Advice Southampton is an essential and much needed Charity integrated into the city of Southampton. We make a real difference to our clients.
Working as part of our advice team, the Generalist Adviser/Trainee Advice Session Supervisor will assist the Supervisor on duty to support volunteers and other staff delivering the general advice service. The Generalist Adviser/Trainee Advice Session Supervisor will be under the immediate direction of the Supervisor on duty to ensure the smooth running of the service for clients.
About You
You will have excellent communication skills and be able to keep calm in busy situations. You will ideally have two years of recent experience of giving advice (or be able to demonstrate equivalent experience), be non-judgemental and willing to work within the aims, principles and policies of the Citizens Advice service.
